Milestones of modern bathroom design
1964 – Otto Sidler founds a company to produce semi-finished lighting fixtures.
1968 – the first “Toilux” mirror cabinet is produced. This marked the birth of a large product family that ran for more than twenty years due to its outstanding quality.
1990 – the company moves to Romanshorn. This is where the development of lighted mirror cabinets began. The first model: “SIDLER econom”.
1996 – SIDLER launches the electronic ballast, which is now the industry standard. And introduces the “SIDLER italique” mirror cabinet to the market.
2002 – production is expanded to 4,000 square meters.
2008/2009 – SIDLER invest extensively in machinery.
2001 to 2012 – The machines never stand still; as a result, spectacular new models emerge in this decade: SIDLER axara, vairano, priolo, Cubango, Teramo, and the youngest member of the family: SIDLER LED.
2013 – SIDLER make more investments: such as in a new building at Hofstrasse 1, right next to the main building. The production machines and the production assembly for the mirror cabinets cover more than 2,800 square meters. The new location means greater efficiency and improved processes for the company.
